Taco Bell recently appointed marketing veteran Sean Tresvant, 43, as its new Chief Executive Officer, making him the iconic fast food chain’s first-ever African-American CEO in its over 60-year history.
New CEO to Advance Innovation
Tresvant will take over Taco Bell leadership from the retiring CEO Mark King in January 2024. As CEO, he will oversee nearly 8,000 Taco Bell restaurants globally that serve over 2 billion customers annually.
The parent company Yum! Brands expressed strong confidence that Tresvant will accelerate innovative growth strategies and enhance customer experiences to keep propelling the beloved brand forward. Tresvant joins Taco Bell from Nike, where he held various high-level roles during his 15-year tenure including head of marketing for Jordan Brand. He led award-winning brand campaigns and impactful community empowerment initiatives.
He also brings relevant experience from executive positions at PepsiCo and other agencies earlier in his career. Tresvant is recognized as a creative marketer devoted to advancing company culture and uplifting diverse communities.
