Angel Jackson has made a significant move in her basketball career by becoming the first player from a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) to sign with Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball. Jackson, who previously played for Jackson State University, is now part of Athletes Unlimited (AU), a professional basketball league that began its fourth season in February 2025. In 2024, Jackson was selected 36th overall by the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA Draft. Despite being drafted, she didn’t make the final roster but didn’t let this setback define her. Instead, Jackson turned her focus to the next big step in her career: signing with AU, where she hopes to showcase her talents further.

Athletes Unlimited operates differently from most professional leagues.
