Dr. Regina Webb Takes Office as Caddo Parish’s First Black Tax Assessor, Honored with a Day in Her Name

Dr. Regina Webb has officially stepped into her historic role as Caddo Parish’s first Black tax assessor. Her swearing-in ceremony, held on January 1, 2025, was a moment of pride for Shreveport and beyond. Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor announced a special honor for Dr. Webb, proclaiming January 1 as “Dr. Regina Webb Day” on behalf of Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux.
