Asia Consent Crowned Dragula Champion in a Stunning Season 6 Finale
Asia Consent has been crowned the winner of Dragula season six, achieving a historic milestone as the show’s first Black trans champion. The Portland, Oregon-based artist stunned fans with bold and creative looks that perfectly embodied the competition’s themes of filth, horror, and glamour.
The thrilling finale saw Asia go head-to-head with fellow contestants Auntie Heroine and Grey Matter. Their final challenge required them to “summon forth their most depraved fantasies” across three unique runway categories. Asia’s innovative approach stood out, earning her the coveted title.
A Blood-Soaked Victory with Life-Changing Rewards
As per tradition, Asia celebrated her win with a signature Dragula moment—a dramatic bucket of blood dumped on her head, à la Carrie. Alongside the title, Asia also received $100,000 in prize money, a lifetime supply of special-effects makeup from Ben Nye, and a merchandising development deal with PEG management.
Asia’s journey to the crown was anything but easy. She landed in the bottom only once throughout the season but triumphed in three major challenges, including the season premiere and the final competitive episode.
Dazzling Looks That Defined the Season
For the finale, Asia delivered three unforgettable looks. Her “filth” outfit shocked audiences with a feces-covered aesthetic. Her “horror” look was a haunting portrayal of a distraught and possessed diva. Finally, her “glamour” ensemble featured a striking skeleton-encased gown that radiated sophistication and artistry.
Though her competitors, Auntie Heroine and Grey Matter, also impressed with strong performances, Asia’s daring creativity and commanding presence gave her the edge.
A Diverse Cast and a Historic Milestone for Representation
Asia’s victory is particularly significant for representation in drag and horror culture. Her win comes as Dragula continues to expand its platform, welcoming diverse contestants who push boundaries in artistry and self-expression. Previous winners like Vander van Odd, Landon Cider (the first drag king to win), and Niohuru X have also contributed to the franchise’s legacy of celebrating individuality.
This season also featured notable contestants such as Majesty, a returning competitor from season two, and Yuri from Drag Race Down Under. Asia’s groundbreaking win adds a powerful layer to Dragula’s mission of showcasing underrepresented voices in drag.
