This groundbreaking achievement builds upon Dr. Allen’s previous milestone. In September 2020, he became the first African American to open a chain of urgent cares in Los Angeles.
Executive 1 Media Group, a California PR firm, verified this historic distinction. Their nationwide urgent care project in February 2024 involved researchers from Ohio, Nevada, and California.

Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care’s journey began in March 2001. For over two decades, it has been a cornerstone of healthcare in southern California.

As an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Allen is an alumnus of the renowned Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. He continues to carry on the legacy of pioneering emergency care.
