In a historic unveiling ceremony at the atrium of the W.W. Wright Education Building, Indiana University celebrated the legacy of Elder Watson Diggs, a trailblazing alumnus who made history as the first African American to graduate with an A.B. degree from the IU School of Education in 1916.
The event was a culmination of years of recognition and reverence for Diggs, a pioneer in education and a co-founder of Kappa Alpha Psi, the first Black fraternity at IU Bloomington.
