Black Businesswoman Dr. Bianca Kiovanni Makes History

Black Businesswoman Dr. Bianca Kiovanni Is The First Recipient Of The Lift The 404 Grant By Atlanta Hawks For Her Impact In Business

Chiropractor Turned Beverage Maven Uplifts Atlanta

Dr. Bianca Kiovanni, creator of Simplicity Beverage Company, produces healthy teas and lemonades in Atlanta. Though new to the beverage industry, her business is already making waves for its positive community influence.

On January 15th, Kiovanni was presented the inaugural “Lift the 404” grant by the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and sponsor UPS during their nationally televised game. The recognition honors minority-owned firms bettering the city.

Blending Healthcare and Hospitality

By day, Dr. Kiovanni practices functional medicine and nutritional counseling. Seeing patients underestimate beverages impact on health inspired her side hustle concocting flavorful drinks without harsh additives.

After nearly a decade of perfecting recipes in her kitchen, Kiovanni finally launched Simplicity Beverage in 2021 “by mistake, on purpose.” The company was even a recent contest finalist, but this latest $5,000 grant from the Hawks and UPS cements this hometown hero’s good work.

Hoops Team and Logistics Leader Lend Helping Hands

The “Lift the 404” campaign aligns with the Hawks’ mission to spur economic opportunity and diversity in Atlanta. Thanks to teamwork with UPS and the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, Simplicity Beverage and future honorees gain funding, publicity, and vital business resources.

Dr. Bianca Kiovanni proves lifting others lifts a community. Her journey mixing health and hospitality is a refreshing recipe for uplifting Atlanta’s underrepresented entrepreneurs.
